Meet Courtney Connell

From caddie to PGA Master Professional, Courtney Connell has spent a lifetime immersed in the game of golf — building relationships, serving the industry, and helping grow the game at every level.

For 17 years, Courtney served the membership of Mira Vista Country Club as Head Golf Professional, where he became widely respected for his leadership, mentorship, and passion for creating meaningful golf experiences. Throughout his career, he has remained deeply committed not only to the game itself, but to the people and traditions that make golf special.

A Past President of the Northern Texas PGA and former Board Member of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame, Courtney has served the golf community through numerous leadership roles across the state and nationally within the PGA of America. His dedication to service, education, and player development has made him a respected voice throughout the golf industry.

Courtney is also a National Award Winner in the Merchandiser – Public category and continues to stay actively involved in initiatives that support the future of the game, including PGA HOPE, PGA Jr. League, junior golf, and charitable fundraising efforts throughout Texas.

Before his professional career, Courtney was a four-year varsity letterman and team captain for the Abilene Christian University men’s golf team from 1983–1985. He later competed as a member of the Texas Joe Black Cup Team and served as the winning captain of the 2022 team.

Outside of golf, Courtney’s greatest joy comes from spending time with his wife, their seven children, and ten grandchildren.
